A defined behaviour-analytic contribution to a child or young person’s support: clear questions, proportionate assessment, practical recommendations and agreed review.
Who refers
Working within a wider team
Pooja is an independent Behaviour Analyst who contributes a defined piece of work to a child or young person’s support, alongside the other professionals involved.
Referrers include SENCOs and schools, case managers, local authority SEND practitioners, social care and care teams, solicitors seeking behavioural evidence, and multidisciplinary clinicians. A useful referral starts with a clear question and an agreed view of who is responsible for each part of the work.
Pooja’s current work includes hands-on Positive Behaviour Support cases involving both privately funded and local-authority-funded support. This is distinct from her approximately 19 years of experience in ABA and behaviour analysis. A referral to her independent practice does not imply any organisational contract with a public body.
Functional assessment (FBA)
Proportionate to the concern, across one or more settings.
PBS planning
Formulation and a behaviour support plan people can use.
ABA programme review
Independent review of goals, teaching, data and supervision.

Making a referral
What to send first
A brief outline by email is enough to start: your role and organisation, the setting, the question you need answered, any immediate risk or timescale, and who else is involved.
Please do not send identifiable records or detailed reports in an initial email. Once scope is agreed, Pooja will confirm consent, information-sharing arrangements, how findings will be reported and how recommendations will be reviewed.
